Excelent conditions on the 10m band

Since I had to dismount my CP6 vertical from the top of our flat house I am using just an 12m long wire as my “ALL BAND” antenna. I am matching it with a CG3000 ATU. On, 19th October 2013 I was surprised by a large amount of stations on the 10m band. This is generally very unusual with my current setup.

During a short time period between 1310 till 1431 UTC I have catched with my CW Skimmer stations from Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, European Russia, Fed.Rep. of Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Kazakhstan, Malta, Martinique, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Ukraine and United States.

The most of stations were active from the United States

K1HT, K1HTV, K1MIJ, K1QS, K1SE, K1ZZ, KA1R, KM1C, KV1E, N1BUG, N1WQ, NN1N, AB2E, AB2N, AG2J, K2GV, K2PLF, K2RKD, K2SSS, K2UR, KZ2R, N2MF, N2WLG, W2MV, W2OB, W2SA, WB2KSK, WW2P, AA3DF, AB3CV, K3BTK, K3DMG, K3DQ, K3EE, K3EQ, K3JLM, K3JO, K3LJ, K3LP, K3NK, K3WC, N3TO, NZ3D, W3BB, W3DP, W3IUU, W3KX, WB3BEL, WJ3A, WU3U, AA4CF, AA4H, AC4BT, K4BAI, K4DGJ, K4DP, K4KKL, K4LT, K4PI, K4SN, K4TEA, K4TXJ, K4UWH, K4YND, KB4JR, KC4TVN, KF4GDX, KN4Y, N4BP, N4MF, N4UC, NA4W, NT4E, W4BAI, W4CCS, W4CK, W4NL, W4VQ, WB4TDH, WB4YDY, WD4LUR, WK4Y, WO4DX, K5FP, K5YY, KZ5D, N5XZ, W5ZE, W5ZR, KF6E, WH6LE, N7DR, NN7D, AA8M, K8BJ, K8JH, K8LV, K8NK, K8NU, K8UPR, KA8PVS, KD8BBK, KZ8K, N8AGU, N8VV, W8DJ, W8IQ, W8LIG, W8NGA, W8TWA, W8WA, W8WGR, WB8B, K9LJN, K9NW, K9PY, K9UQN, K9US, K9UT, KC9LDK, KG9N, N9JV, N9NC, N9ZI, NS9I, W9JA, W9MAF, W9OA/9, W9OP, W9RGB, W9XY, K0KX, K0TQ, N0AV, N0TA, N0XA, W0ELM, WA0CRI

HDSDR Ver. 2.60

image

- DC Removal option with adjustable bandwidth (see Options->Channel Calibration for RX)
image

- renamed (existing) 'NB' to 'NB RF'
- additional Noiseblanker 'NB IF'
- NB, NR and other functions now on single slider in main window
image

- FM bandwidth adjustable independently from HiCut (click FM button again to see slider)
image

- new option: Tune fixed to 'LO <-> Tune offset'
- Right click on RF display sets Tune frequency - by changing LO frequency - keeping LO <-> Tune offset
- 192kHz output sampling rate allows wider IF recording
- Output sampling rate is saved/restored for each mode
- added output channel mode (for RX) for audio (listening) and I/Q output (digimode software)
image

- improved LO frequency calibration
- Phase clock back on "RF Frontend & Calibration" dialog (see Options)
- extended ExtIO interface: Sampling Rate, MGC, AGC, ..
- Sync with OmniRig also on unsupported modes
- IF offsets per mode - now usable without OmniRig, too
- several new Visualization options:
- RF/AF displays can be swapped or switched off
- added compact mode - without RF+AF display (Shift+X)
- enhanced waterfall: added TimeStamps and mouse position shows time & frequency

image

- waterfall color scale just depending on spectrum range (deactivating brightness/contrast), for noise level observation
- optimizations for Remote Desktop (RDP) usage (see Options->visualization)
- clock display in UTC or local time (see Misc Options)
- ECSS improved
- fix: AF record level is no longer affected by volume slider
- fixed Frequency Manager
- many other fixes and improvements
